Lemon Bars

INGREDIENTS - flour - sugar - salt - butter - cornstarch - lemon zest - lemon juice - eggs - powdered sugar

STEP 1 Whisk together the dry ingredients.

STEP 2 Cut in the butter.

STEP 3 Press into a baking pan. Freeze then bake!

STEP 4 Gently combine sugar and lemon zest.

STEP 5 Put the lemon sugar and cornstarch into a saucepan and whisk.

STEP 6 Add  the lemon juice and salt.

STEP 7 Whisk the eggs and egg yolks, then slowly add the hot lemon mixture.

STEP 8 Heat the mixture in a saucepan until thick. then strain. Melt the butter in.

STEP 9 Pour the lemon filling into the cooled crust and bake again!

STEP 10 Cool the bars.

STEP 11 Slice, dust with powdered sugar, and serve!
